Leaf Access is a trading name of the Emberton group of companies. The company was founded in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 1991 as a sourcing and quality control service company, representing the interests of overseas buyers with local sourcing and manufacturing control.

After quickly gaining a reputation amongst its European clients for efficiency, reliability and integrity, during the mid 1990s Emberton expanded service and control operations to Indonesia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong & China.

With the formation of highly trained teams specializing in production management and quality control, together with our carefully devised and integrated quality control operating system, Emberton’s customer base in Europe and North America grew rapidly.

Recognizing that new or improved product development and packaging design forms the basis of customers growth, Emberton established its own in-house Graphic design and development service in 1998. Creating design visuals for products and packaging, enabled factories to quickly understand requirements and prepare prototypes, thus dramatically shortening the new product development cycle and ensuring accuracy to required specifications.

As our client base grew, our reputation for design creativity, innovation and strong quality control spread amongst importers and distributors holding Licenses for brand characters, which led to rapid growth in licensed character products. Today, significant volumes are shipped for famous products such as Disney, Warner Bros, Sesame street, etc.

With competency in product & packaging development, factory evaluation, manufacturing control and export shipping logistics, Emberton further enhanced it’s quality compliance control service role with the establishment in 2003 of it’s own fully staffed technical testing laboratory with major investments into equipment for tests for American and European Quality standards such as ASTM, AATCC, EN, etc.
